How to install it, step by step

If you have never added a plugin to WordPress before, do not worry. It is the same four steps as any other plugin, and you only do it once.

Click any "Download the free scanner" button on this page. You will get a single .zip file. Leave it as is, there is no need to unzip it.

Save the .zip

Open Plugins in WordPress

Upload the file

At the top of the page click Upload Plugin, choose the .zip you just downloaded, then click Install Now and wait for it to finish.

Activate and scan

Click Activate. WP Guard now appears in your menu. Open it, follow the prompts, and run your first scan.

Do I need to know any code?

No. If you can log in to your WordPress dashboard, you can install and run the scanner. The four steps above are the whole job, and you only do it once.

Where does the scan actually run?

On your own site, from inside your own dashboard, which is where the real information is. Nothing runs on our website, and we never ask you to paste your site into a form here.

Will it slow my site down?

The scanner runs its checks and reports back, then sits quietly. You are always in control and can deactivate or remove it whenever you like, the same as any other plugin.

Do I need a paid plan to use it?
