Scan your WordPress site
free.
Download the free WP Guard scanner plugin and check your own site for vulnerabilities, malware signals and health issues. Your site, your dashboard, your results.
Three steps, no strings
Download the plugin
Create a free account, grab the scanner plugin and install it on your WordPress site like any other plugin. Free for anyone, on any site.
Run your scan
The plugin scans your site from the inside, where the real information is. Nothing runs on our website.
See where you stand
Get your score and a plain-English report in your own dashboard. If something needs fixing, our experts can take it from there.
How to install it, step by step
If you have never added a plugin to WordPress before, do not worry. It is the same four steps as any other plugin, and you only do it once.
Step 01
Download the scanner
Click any "Download the free scanner" button on this page. You will get a single .zip file. Leave it as is, there is no need to unzip it.
Save the .zipStep 02
Open Plugins in WordPress
Log in to your own WordPress dashboard. In the left-hand menu, hover over Plugins and click Add New Plugin.

Upload the file
At the top of the page click Upload Plugin, choose the .zip you just downloaded, then click Install Now and wait for it to finish.

Alerts
The free scanner keeps watching and tells you when something new needs attention.
You do not have to fix it alone
Most scans turn something up. The question is what happens next. Upgrade to the Pro plugin for a deeper scan, more often, with guidance. Or move onto Guaranteed, our managed hosting and security service: our experts clean what the scan finds, then keep it covered from that day on.
